At a cost of more than US$5 billion, the Abdali Urban Regeneration project is the largest mixed-use development project ever undertaken in Amman, the capital of Jordan. Developed on 384,000 m2 of land, the project will comprise a total built-up area of over 1.8 million m2 consisting of residential apartments, office space, commercial and retail outlets as well as entertainment. Abdali will be the premium central business and residential district of Amman and will catapult the city of Amman into the 21st century, placing it on a level with some of the most renowned cities in the world.
The Abdali new downtown lies at the center of the major commercial, financial, public and tourist institutions of the city of Amman. New superior road networks and traffic solutions around and within the development will allow the smooth daily flow of around 90,000 people.
Abdali creates a new city center, previously missing from Amman, creating additional employment opportunities and attracting an unprecedented influx of investments from Jordan and the region.
Phase I is in its final stages of completion and is open to the public, and Phase II is expected to commence construction in the foreseeable future.
